Book Chapter Description
Childhood brain tumors are the most common type of pediatric solid tumors. Treatment of these tumors is multimodal including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Tremendous advancement in surgical procedures, systemic agents, and radiotherapy techniques has led to improvement of control and survival outcomes, although at the expense of associated morbidity. Therefore, reduction of long-term treatment-related side effects while maintaining efficacy is an ongoing goal of management of pediatric brain tumors.
