Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Book Chapter Description
Heavy oil and bitumen have about 67% of crude oil resources worldwide. Already some techniques of thermal enhanced oil recovery (TEOR), such as steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and solvent vapor extraction (VAPEX), have been utilized in heavy oilfields. Last two decades, a new technique has been presented to achieve the privileges of the SAGD and VAPEX processes called the hybrid thermal-solvent process. Based on the injection procedure, the hybrid thermal-solvent process can be divided into expanding solvent-assisted gravity drainage (ES-SAGD), liquid addition to steam for enhanced recovery (LASER), steam alternating solvent (SAS), solvent enhanced steam flooding (SESF) or solvent-aided process (SAP), and alkaline steam flooding. In this chapter, each hybrid thermal-solvent process is introduced, and its crucial mechanisms is evaluated. Then, modeling and simulation are studied, and critical parameters in procedure selection are discussed. Finally, some field implementations of the hybrid thermal-solvent process are presented.
