Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Book Chapter Description
Different synthesis methods for rare-earth-doped silicate phosphors and the development of different characterization techniques with their applications are discussed in this chapter. The stability and high luminous intensity of silicate materials make them practically important in the field of white light-emitting diodes. This chapter helps to understand the theoretical and methodological strategies regarding various approaches to synthesizing phosphors as silicate-based host materials. At present, a large number of silicate-based luminescent materials are being synthesized and reported. Among them, the most common methods used for synthesis are found to be solid-state reaction, combustion, wet chemical process, coprecipitation, and sol-gel methods. Intense peaks observed with doped rare earths in thermoluminescence and photoluminescence are discussed with transitions in crystal lattices. X-ray diffraction pattern peaks for silicate phosphors with different dopants and their doping concentrations are also discussed. Transmission electron microscopic analysis is used to study the morphology and particle size of prepared phosphors. Excellent luminescence response and high color rendering index silicate phosphors are suitable for photonic applications, open up new avenues for solid-state lighting, cathode ray tubes, fluorescent lamps, scintillators, etc., and can serve as key materials for phosphor-converted light-emitting diodes.
