Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Book Chapter Description
Technology is an inseparable part of science because science without technology is incomplete and it makes science convenient and applicable. Biosciences are no exception to this rule. Integration of modern-day technology with biosciences has completely revolutionized biology and health care. Artificial intelligence has made modern day equipment intelligent enough to analyze large amounts of data and make decisions without human interference. From microscopes to 3D images, the world of imaging has come a long way. Microarray technology has brought lab on chips. Omics technology combined with systems biology and artificial intelligence can make the health care system individual specific. It is now possible to predict diseases even before their onset. Vaccines and drugs can not only be predicted but analyzed in silico without needing animal testing. Experiments can be simulated using computational methods. Everyday efforts are being made to make scientific experiments, easy, handy, and cost-effective. There’s been significant progress but there is still a lot that needs to be done. Integrative approach is the only key toward achieving the best results in biological and medical sciences.
