Lumnitzera racemosa is a shrub widely distributed in Madagascar, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and India. It is traditionally used to treat snake bites, rheumatism, skin allergies, blood purifier, asthma, and diabetes. It possesses antioxidant, cytotoxicity, and anticoagulant properties. Alkaloids, phenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, sterols, carbohydrates, quinines, saponins, quercetin, and aromatic ester were found to be present in this mangrove species.
