Article Description

Multi-state Boolean networks model the behavior of interrelated (non-binary) Boolean entities over time. These networks can be used in several contexts, and extend the usual (simpler) binary-state Boolean networks. Leveraging the established knowledge of binary-state Boolean networks, we explore the dynamics of sequential multi-state Boolean networks, where their entities or nodes have states which belong to a (general) Boolean algebra with more than two elements and whose updates are determined in an specific order. This study contributes to the advancement of multi-state Boolean networks, enriching their theoretical knowledge and practical utility.
