Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
The influent quality is an important factor affecting the nutrients removal and operational stability of denitrifying phosphorus removal (DPR) system. This study investigated the effects of calcium ion (Ca 2+ ) on the nutrients removal, nitrogen oxide (N 2 O) release, microbial community, and quorum sensing in DPR system. Results showed that high accumulation of Ca 2+ had a significant impact on the carbon footprint of DPR system. Specifically, N 2 O release reached 2.11 mg/L under Ca 2+ of 150 mg/L, which represented 214.93% increase compared to 0 mg/L of Ca 2+. The DPR system demonstrated its adaptability to elevated Ca 2+ concentrations by modifying key enzyme activities involved in nitrogen and phosphorus removal, altering the microbial community structure, and adjusting the type and content of signal molecules. These findings hold significant implications for understanding the stress mechanism of Ca 2+ on DPR system, ultimately aiding in the maintenance and enhancement of stable operational performance in biological wastewater treatment process.
