Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Data on Drug Delivery Systems Reported by Researchers at Nantong University (Cyclodextrin-based Ocular Drug Delivery Systems: a Comprehensive Review)

Review Description
Cyclodextrin (CD), a class of cyclic oligosaccharides with an external hydrophilic surface and a central hydrophobic cavity is recognized as a promising pharmaceutical excipient due to its unique ability to form inclusion complexes with small molecules and polymers. CD has excellent biocompatibility, safety, and stability, promoting the rapid development of various CD-based ocular drug delivery systems over the last two decades. The review elaborates on the recent research progress of CD-based ocular drug delivery systems, including drug/CD complexes, CD-based nanocarriers and microcarriers (e.g., nanoemulsions, nanoparticles, micelles, liposomes, nanosponges, microparticles, and microspheres), CD-based hydrogels (e.g., in situ hydrogels, supramolecular hydrogels, and soft contact lenses), and CD-based inserts. In addition, the review systemically summarizes the methods for ocular safety evaluation of CD-based ocular delivery systems, as well as the patents and clinical trials for CD-based ocular drug delivery systems.
