Article Description

We developed poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) and polyethylene oxide composites and demonstrated their use for soft and stretchable thin film thermoelectric devices. A stable thermoelectric performance can be observed under 20% stretching. Due to the vast processability of the polyethylene oxide polymer, bulk size thermoelectric devices can be produced with scalable manufacturing techniques, such as hot compression molding and 3D printing. These techniques allow for devices with a large area and customized geometry.
