Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Researchers' Work from Southeast University Focuses on Structure Research (Experimental Study On Fatigue Behavior of Cracked Steel Plates Repaired With Adhesively Bonded Steel Patches)

Article Description
Fatigue cracking is prone to occur in orthotropic steel decks (OSDs) due to its complex geometry. To guarantee structural safety and extend the fatigue life of OSDs in steel bridges, the repair technique of adhesively bonded steel patches, which has the advantage of lower cost, easy operation, and not damaging the original structure, is experimentally studied using simplified cracked steel plate specimens. Four repair schemes were considered including bare plate, single-sided patched, double-sided patched, and stop-hole repaired. The failure mode, fatigue crack propagation, and adhesive damage were studied to evaluate the effects of steel patch repair. The morphological analysis was performed to investigate the fatigue fracture characteristics and metal interface performance. The outcomes showed that adhesively bonded steel patches could significantly improve the fatigue life of cracked steel plates and the strengthening was more effective for double-sided patched specimens than single-sided patched specimens. In comparison, the repair effect of the stop-hole method is limited for cracked specimens.
