Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
In the quest for continuously raising the quality of drinking water, the exploration for effective photocatalysts to facilitate photocatalytic water disinfection remains an enduring challenge. Here, we demonstrate that by easily adjusting the polymerization degree of graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 3 N 4 ), g-C 3 N 4 itself can attain an exceptional photoactivity for disinfecting various waterborne bacteria. By synergistically integrating experimental investigations with density functional theory calculations, we propose that fine-tuning the polymerization degree of g-C 3 N 4 confers remarkable attributes conducive to the specific generation of H 2 O 2 through a two-electron reduction pathway. This ultimately culminates in the attainment of efficient water disinfection, that 7-log reduction in E. coli concentration is achieved within 180 min, in the absence of any additional cocatalyst. This work may shed light on developing highly efficient g-C 3 N 4 -based photocatalytic disinfectants for water disinfection applications.
