Review Description
Carbohydrates are now recognized as important players in many areas of research. The aim of this review is to point out the achievements in the field of fluorinated and fluoroalkylated amino-functionalised monosaccharides and analogues, their synthesis and properties. Both direct introduction of fluorine atom/s and building block methods are taken into consideration. Furthermore, we focused on moving these compounds from the laboratory to the medical setting as well as extending their applications on future issues.
