Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Research Findings from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology Update Understanding of Materials Research (Role of Re additions on hot corrosion behaviors of a Co-Al-W superalloys)

Article Description
The hot corrosion behaviors of Co–Al–W superalloys with Re additions were investigated at 900 °C. The results showed that the addition of Re improved the hot corrosion resistance significantly. The alloys developed multi-layer oxidation and corrosion products, which located from surface to substrate were: the CoO and Co 3 O 4 layer, the CoWO 4 and CoAl 2 O 4 layer, the Al 2 O 3 layer, and the Co 3 W layer. The addition of Re promotes the formation of the α-Al 2 O 3 scale, which is stable and dense. The thickness the α-Al 2 O 3 scale in 1Re alloy is 1.9 μm, which is much thicker than that of the base alloy. The well-developed α-Al 2 O 3 scale leads to the improvements in hot corrosion resistance.
