In this contribution, hierarchical MnCo 2 O 4 micro/nano fibres have been prepared by a metal organic framework (MOF) route. Profiting from the perfect combination of hierarchical micro/nano architecture and one-dimensional (1D) feature, as anode of Li-half cells, the as-prepared MnCo 2 O 4 delivers a high capacity (854.5 mAh g −1 ), good cycling stability and excellent rate capability (305.6 mAh g −1 even at 5.0 A g −1 ). Notably, the kinetic investigation illustrates that lithium storage process is mainly dominated by ions diffusion, and the calculated lithium-ion diffusion coefficient is about 8.12 × 10 −17 cm 2 s −1 superior to that of reported nanotubes.
