Article Description

Mustard oil/aloe vera gel (MO/AV) microemulsions were investigated as potential skin antiaging and premature gray hair biomaterials. Potential characteristics of our MO/AV microemulsions that allow skin antiaging and least premature gray hair were high antioxidative activity and radical scavenging, high sun protection factor (SPF value), and antimicrobial materials. The active ingredients of the microemulsion were spectroscopically investigated via 1 H NMR and ATR-FTIR for structural identification, and TGA and DTG for thermal analysis. Optimal characteristics for maintaining best specifications like average viscosity, concertation of Carbopol® 940 surfactant, appropriate spreadability and particle size distribution were obtained. Conclusively, three significant factors responsible for skin antiaging signs; daily use of the MO/AV microemulsion that is antiaging, antimicrobial, and antioxidant. Second; rich nutrient food intake, and our microemulsion is rich in nutrients such as polyphenols omega-3, and omega-6 that diffuse through skin, and finally daily stress, where can be overcome by Yoga, sport, psychological relief, and meditation. Two of the three factors exist in our MO/AV microemulsion, which confirm that it can be promising candidate for removing excess ROS and oxidative stress signs responsible for fighting against skin ageing and premature gray hair.
