Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Speckle noise is a major limitation of laser projection and imaging systems, and be suppressed using multimode fiber (MMF); however, speckle suppression is not sufficient when only using MMF. Here, we propose a scheme for decoherence of an optical field in 2D using an MMF, retardation plate, and a pair of microlens arrays. We built a theoretical model to design the retardation plate and evaluate the performance of the scheme. Theoretical results demonstrate that decoherence of the distal optical field of the MMF in 2D can significantly increase the number of uncorrelated sub-beams. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by experiments; speckle suppression efficiency improves by >20%. The incoherent areas distribution of the optical field at the distal end of the MMF shifts from 1D to 2D as the length of the MMF increases. This is significant for understanding the evolution of a partially coherent light field within an MMF.
