Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Investigators from Connecticut Children's Medical Center Zero in on Sickle Cell Anemia (A Systemic Review of the Psychosocial Aspects of Chronic Pain In Youth With Sickle Cell Disease)
2024 JUL 16 (NewsRx) -- By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at NewsRx Hematology Daily -- A new study on Hematologic Diseases and Conditions -
Review Description
The psychosocial aspects of chronic pain among youth with sickle cell are poorly described and may be better understood within a biopsychosocial model of chronic pain as applied to youth living with sickle cell disease. A systematic literature review was performed to synthesize the psychosocial factors contributing to chronic pain in this population. Criteria for study inclusion were primary quantitative research studies focused on psychosocial aspects of chronic pain among youth with sickle cell disease. PubMed, CINAHL, PsychINFO, and Scopus were searched for relevant articles. Articles selected for full-text review were appraised for quality using the Joanna Briggs Institute Quality Appraisal Tools. Thirteen articles were included. Depression, anxiety, pain catastrophizing, pain coping, executive functioning, and functional impairment were prevalent in youth living with sickle cell disease and chronic pain. Research gaps included the influence of stigma, injustice, peer interactions, and school and work on chronic pain. The biopsychosocial model of chronic sickle cell disease-related pain for youth was developed and modified based on the results of this systematic review to remind clinicians of the various factors to consider in clinical practice and spur additional research in this field.
