Article Description

This manuscript focuses on the eco-friendly synthesis of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) using Centratherum punctatum  leaf extract. FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of functional groups, while UV–vis spectral analysis exhibited absorbance peak at 224 nm. XRD analysis provided insights into the particle's crystallinity, revealing, crystal size in the range of 20–30 nm. SEM examination revealed the presence of spherical and hemispherical aggregated particles. The CuO NPs demonstrated potent antimicrobial activity and effectively inhibited biofilm formation by  Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The environmentally friendly synthesis and promising antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of CuO NPs make them noteworthy candidates for further exploration.
