Article Description
The sequential Knoevenagel condensation-6π-electrocyclization reaction of the novel chiral 1,3-cyclohexanedione derivative possessing C 2 symmetry developed by our group was demonstrated. Chiral 6,8-dihydroxy-7,8-dihydro-2 H -chromen-5-one derivatives were obtained in good to excellent yields.
