Article Description
Les modifications provoquées au niveau du taux de synthèse protéique et des pools d'acides aminés libres par une réalimentation forcée ont été déterminées dans le tissu adipeux de larves de Bombyx mori. Le marquage au [ 14 C] et au [ 3 H] des leucines alimentaire ou endogène permet de distinguer, au niveau des chaînes polypeptidiques naissantes et au niveau des pools d'acides aminés libres, l'origine de la leucine utilisée par l'organisme. On constate que 22 minutes après la prise de nourriture, le taux de synthèse protéique estimé par le taux de polyribosomes est multiplié par 2,5. La leucine engagée dans la synthèse est à plus de 90 p. cent d'origine endogène. Les pools de leucine libre de l'hémolymphe et du tissu adipeux augmentent en grande partie par libération de leucine d'origine endogène. On conclut que l'ingestion d'acides aminés est suivie, chez Bombyx mori, par la production d'un signal ou d'un facteur critique qui stimule l'activité protéosynthétique du tissu adipeux. L'absence de ce signal ou facteur lors de la privation de nourriture pourrait rendre compte de la décroissance du taux de synthèse.
