A range of pentafluorophenyl (PFP) sulfonate esters derived from the reaction of PFP vinyl sulfonate and various nitrones are shown to have significant inhibitory activity against the bacterial enzymes DDAH and ADI. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2005.
