Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
By introduction of 2,2′-bipy or 1,10-phen as a second organic ligand, four new zinc(II) diphosphonate hybrids with mixed ligands, namely, [Zn(2,2′-bipy)(hedpH)]·0.5HO (1), [Zn(1,10-phen)(hedpH)]·HO (2), [Zn (1,10-phen)(hedpH)]·HO (3) and [Zn(1,10-phen)(hedpH)] (4) (hedpH = 1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate, 2,2-bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, 1,10-phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Compounds 1 and 2 adopt a two-dimensional supramolecular network structure containing {[Zn(2,2′-bipy)(hedpH )]} or {[Zn(1,10-phen)(hedpH)]} units. The neighboring units interdigitate through hydrogen bonding interactions to give a 2D supramolecular network. Compounds 3 and 4 also have a two-dimensional supramolecular network structure. In compounds 3 and 4, 1D Zn-diphosphonate chains were formed. These 1D chains are further connected to adjacent chains through hydrogen bonds to form a 2D supramolecular network. A notable feature for compound 4 is the presence of the alternate left- and right-handed helical chains in the structure. The luminescence properties of compounds 1-4 have also been studied. © 2011 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
