Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
A facile solvothermal method has been developed for preparing anatase TiO nanoparticles doped with nitrogen (N) or co-doped with N and fluorine (F). The effects of N and F doping or co-doping on the structural and photocatalytic properties of anatase TiO nanoparticles were investigated. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution TEM, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy were used to characterize the synthesized nanoparticles, confirming the successful synthesis of anatase TiO. The crystal cell parameters and crystal size decreased with the doping of N or co-doping of N and F. Photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange under both UV and visible light irradiation revealed that the photocatalytic activity of anatase TiO was greatly improved by N doping or N and F co-doping. The effect of TiO bandgap narrowing and the synergistic effect between co-dopants N and F on photocatalytic performance of TiO were also discussed. The N-F-co-doped TiO is thus a promising material for photocatalytic applications. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2013.
