Article Description

The critical attenuation of sound at 1. 1 GHz in pressurized helium 4 up to 20. 4 bars was measured. Above the lambda transition, the results are scaled from kHz to GHz frequencies with the same function. For saturated vapor pressure helium our data are in good agreement with the recent theory of Ferrell and Bhattacharjee.
