Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Introduction Oral nutritional supplements may be distributed in the so-called MEDPass mode of administration in unusually small amounts together with the medication as an alternative to non-standardised administration. Trials on the MEDPass indicate improved adherence. There are no recommendations of professional societies for the use MEDPass. The extent of the implementation of MEDPass and the interprofessional collaboration in the MEDPass process steps in hospitals and rehabilitation clinics in German-speaking Switzerland are unknown. The purpose of this study was to investigate these questions from the decision through to the patient follow-up. Methods In German-speaking hospitals and rehabilitation clinics of Switzerland, an online survey was conducted from March to April 2022 and analysed descriptively. One registered dietitian per institution took part and answered up to six questions about the implementation and up to 14 questions about the process steps of MEDPass. Results The response rate was 71.4 % (n = 80). MEDPass was implemented in 68.5 % (n = 50) of the institutions. Registered dietitians decide on the mode of administration, the dosage, prescription, and continuation of intake after discharge. Nurses are responsible for administration, patient motivation, intake monitoring and documen tation. Prior to discharge, registered dietitians organize the paperwork for reimbursement and place an initial order of the oral nutritional supplements. In 38.3 % (n = 18) of the institutions, patients receive follow-up nutritional therapy. Conclusions Despite the lack of recommendation, the MEDPass mode is already widely used. The legality of the prescription practice is still being debated in Switzerland. Since most of the steps in the process have been clearly assigned to one profession, the results may be used to guide the implementation of MEDPass.
