Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Patient education plays a crucial role in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases. The education of patients with osteoporosis as part of the DMP Osteoporosis is an important building block for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fractures in terms of improving personal health literacy. They serve in particular to enable patients to cope better with the course of the disease and to implement essential therapeutic measures on their own responsibility. The osteoporosis patient training consists of five modules on the topics of the basis of osteoporosis and bone metabolism, diagnostics, therapy decisions, bone-healthy nutrition and exercise and physical activity. Doctors and medical assistants who have received sufficient training as part of an OSTAK trainer seminar and have successfully completed the examination can work as trainers in the osteoporosis patient training program. The osteoporosis training program is a patient training course accredited by the Federal Office for Social Security (BAS) for the DMP osteoporosis. To date, over 300 trainees have been successfully trained via the Dachverband Osteologie and OSTAK. Without the development of this training, the implementation of the DMP osteoporosis would not have been possible.
