Article Description

The molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were used to observe the primary nucleation of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (pVDF) from bulk entangled amorphous polymer melts. It was found that the melt-to-crystal phase transition occured through a three-stage process. The ordered phase consisted of chain-folded lamella with predominantly adjacent re-entry.
