Article Description
The heat treatment of HAuCl-soaked mesoporous silica at 300°C in air atmosphere was used to fabricate gold nanowires. It was shown that with the increase of annealing temperatures, Au nanowires gradually grow into nanoparticles. Results showed that the surface plasmon resonance peak of the composite can be continuously tuned from about 1080 to about 530 nm due to morphology transformation.
