Article Description

A continuous wave optical spectroscopic system was presented. The system was designed for use in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners. The system was used to measure the changes in the concentrations of hemoglobin in humans. It was found that the system was an extremely sensitive detector of hemodynamic changes in human tissue at high temporal resolution.
