Article Description

The focusing properties of single subwavelength apertures flanked by finite arrays of grooves that are equally spaced were analyzed. It was found that, associated with the resonant beaming effect previously reported, this type of structure also displays a lensing effect that appears at the same wavelength range. Universal curves for this resonant wavelength and for the geometrical parameters defining the focus were also given as functions of the number of grooves.
