Conference Paper Description
This work deals with a detailed review on preparation, extract, use and efficiency of bio-diesel based Mahua plant oil. About 40 recent research papers that were based on the production, use and efficiency of Mahua Biodiesel were reviewed. The necessary information like the production of the mahua biodiesel from mahua oil using various methods, the properties of the biodiesel, its blends and diesel itself, the methods used for the preparation of blends, its performance and the exhaust emission - has been compiled and has been presented in the form of review paper. Indeed, the blends with added catalyst shows the better combustion and emission efficiency compare to diesel itself. So, this work helps the researchers to get an overall idea on different processes and techniques involved in extraction of mahua oil, use of mahua oil (blending with different proportion), several catalyst that can be added with bio-diesel and the best blend that gives better efficiency in terms emission.
