Conference Paper Description

The research was conducted to identify subsurface structures to detect aquifer layers in Baruga Village, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. This study uses the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method. Data acquisition was made on four lines (120 meters in length), each with a distance between the electrodes of 4 meters. Data processing is performed using res2div software. The result of this research is a 2D resistivity image below the surface. The resistivity value of the study area consists of low resistivity (<10 Ωm) which is interpreted as aquifer potential. The aquifer in the study area is at a depth of 4 m - 17 m. Medium resistivity (10 Ωm - 30 Ωm) is interpreted as limestone. High resistivity (>30 Ωm) is interpreted as basalt rock. The presence of basalt indicates that the aquifer location of the uplifted. The Pseudo 3D modelling results can provide a picture of the differences in resistivity values, where low resistivity values are assumed to be aquifers.
