Article Description
Gross features and the role of structural phase transitions in the representative members La2-xMxCuO4 and YBa2Cu3O7-y of high-Tc superconductors are reviewed. A possibility of generating the tetragonal-to-orthorhombic phase transition in the La-system by the interband electron-phonon interaction is discussed. © 1992, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
