Article Description
Resumen: Este artículo desea contribuir a la elaboración de una historia queer de la televisión española mediante el estudio de las aportaciones de creadores queer al medio televisivo. Se centra en los años ochenta: con la llegada de la democracia, creadores abiertamente homosexuales como Terenci Moix o Pedro Almodóvar, y otros que no habían manifestado públicamente su sexualidad, pero que sí se mostraban explícitamente queer, como Javier Gurruchaga, realizaron ficciones televisivas marcadamente autorales. En ellas, negociaron sus prácticas creativas con códigos y tradiciones de la cultura homosexual, como el uso recurrente de mujeres como protagonistas y destacadas secundarias en sus narrativas, la utilización de lo camp como principal código estético, o el desarrollo de intertextualidad queer vinculada con la tradición cultural de lo camp. Asimismo, efectuaron negociaciones discursivas con la heteronormatividad dominante para representar identidades queer en tiempos en los que su visibilidad pública en televisión era escasa y estaba poco normalizada. Las convenciones sociales existentes en su contexto histórico (de género, sexuales, estéticas, de clase, de lo decible en televisión) fueron altamente problematizadas e incluso provocadoramente subvertidas mediante tales prácticas creativas. Hasta ahora inexploradas, este artículo se propone estudiarlas en profundidad conjuntamente.
