Article Description

Simultaneous significant hepatic and mild splenic uptake of Tc-99m methylene diphosphonate is not commonly seen in clinical practice. A case is presented of significant hepatic and mild splenic increased methylene diphosphonate activity in a 62-year-old woman. Subsequent serum protein electrophoresis showed monoclonal paraprotein in the gamma region and the final diagnosis is Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia. © 2009 by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
