Metric Options: Counts1 Year3 YearSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
A Gram-reaction-negative, rod-shaped marine bacterium, designated MEBiC08158, was isolated from sediments collected from Taean County, Korea, near the Hebei Spirit tanker oil spill accident. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that strain MEBiC08158 was closely related to Alcanivorax marinus R8-12 (99.5% similarity) but was distinguishable from other members of the genus Alcanivorax (93.7–97.1%). The DNA–DNA hybridization value between strain MEBiC08158 and A. marinus R8-12 was 58.4%. Growth of strain MEBiC08158 was observed at 15–43°C (optimum 37–40°C), at pH6.0–9.5 (optimum pH7.0–8.0) and with 0.5–16% NaCl (optimum 1.5–3.0%). The dominant fatty acids were C:, C: cyclo ω8c, C:, C:ω7c, C: 3-OH and summed feature 3 (comprising C: 2-OH and/or C:ω7c). Several phenotypic characteristics differentiate strain MEBiC08158 from phylogenetically close members of the genus Alcanivorax. Therefore, strain MEBiC08158 should be classified as representing a novel species of the genus Alcanivorax, for which the name Alcanivorax gelatiniphagus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is MEBiC08158 (=KCCM 42990=JCM 18425).
