Article Description

The hole concentration (formula presented) the transition temperature (formula presented) the intragrain penetration depth (formula presented) and the Meissner effect were measured for annealed (formula presented) samples. The intragrain superconducting transition temperature (formula presented) varied from 17 to 40 K while the p changed by only (formula presented) The intragrain superfluid density (formula presented) and the diamagnetic drop of the field-cooled magnetization across (formula presented) (the Meissner effect), however, increased more than 10 times. All of these findings are in disagreement with both the (formula presented) vs p and the (formula presented) vs (formula presented) correlations proposed for homogeneous cuprates, but are in line with a possible phase separation and the granularity associated with it. © 2002 The American Physical Society.
