Article Description
A local probe study of charge-density waves (CDWs) at a Cr surface was carried out by low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy (LT-STM). The antiferromagnetic (AFM) surface domain structure of Cr was imaged indirectly via a CDWs accompanying the spin-density wave (SDW) ground state. Remarkably, the observations arise from the surface projection of a 3D bulk CDW.
