Article Description

A watt-level traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifier operating above 0.3 THz has been demonstrated. This TWT based on the folded waveguide (FWG) slow-wave structure has achieved over 3.1 W of output power at 336.96 GHz, and the corresponding device gain achieves 26.2 dB. In this letter, the design and experimental test results are presented.
