Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
This study uses the sol-gel method to explore the structural and thermal properties of synthesised potassium-doped 45S5 bioactive glass (BG) nanoparticles. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed the crystalline phase of NaCa(PO)SiO and a shift in diffraction peaks due to the potassium integration, suggesting enhanced crystallinity. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) showed a change in particle morphology with the potassium addition, indicating modified nucleation and growth processes. The thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) demonstrated improved thermal stability in the potassium-doped samples, with reduced weight loss across all temperature ranges. The nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherm analysis revealed an increase in the surface area from 11.54 m∙g in the BG to 11.77 m∙g in the potassium-doped BG and a decrease in the pore volume and average pore size, indicating a significant structural change. These results highlight the potential of potassium-doped BG in biomedical applications, offering enhanced bioactivity and thermal stability.
