Article Description
We present a simplified setup for the generation and electro-optic sampling of terahertz pulses employing a nonamplified pump source and a single ZnTe crystal, which is simultaneously used for generation and detection. The setup is characterized, and first steps of its application for gas-phase spectroscopy are presented. © 2003 Optical Society of America.
