Conference Paper Description

Ophthalmic Adaptive Optics imaging technology in the living eyes of humans and animals is rapidly maturing. By manipulating optical elements in addition to the deformable mirror and introducing auxiliary image sensors, a number of improvements can be incorporated into multimodal clinical and laboratory AO systems. These include better focus control and focal plane tilt tuning, pupil tracking, simplified AO calibration methods with non-common path aberrations, 3D point-spread function and image quality metrics. © OSA 2013.
