Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.
Citation Benchmarking is provided by Scopus and SciVal and is different from the metrics context provided by PlumX Metrics.

Article Description
Resumen Este ensayo tiene el propósito de argumentar que el enfoque histórico-cultural (EHC) es una herramienta conceptual útil para comprender y explicar algunas de las principales transformaciones mentales generadas e impulsadas por la creación y el uso de las nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC). En la elaboración del argumento examino la tesis central del EHC sobre la sociogénesis de la mente y el planteamiento con respecto a que el uso de herramientas y símbolos en la actividad humana cambia la naturaleza de esta y da paso a transformaciones en las funciones mentales. Utilizaré investigaciones procedentes de la arqueología cognitiva y la ciberpsicología para ejemplificar las principales transformaciones en el curso de la historia evolutiva de la especie. De ahí, pasaré a analizar las transformaciones que la investigación contemporánea ha documentado en usuarios de las TIC, en diversas disciplinas. Concluiré con el análisis de lo que esas transformaciones implican para la psicología y la educación.
