Article Description
Objective: This work aims to inform the conservation activities that occur in the Agape Natural Reserve, located in the Colombian Amazon and offer a list of the species of butterflies collected in the region. Scope: We search to know better the lepidopterofauna of this area of the Amazon until now little studied. Methodology: For the collected material of diurnal butterflies, aerial entomological networks and Van Someren-Rydon attraction traps and visual observations of other species were used. Main results: An updated list of 301species included in 159 genera is presented, biogeographical comments are made based on the composition of this list. Conclusions: This work contributes to the knowledge of the species of Lepidoptera of Colombia and its distribution circumscribed to the Amazon of the country.
