Article Description
RESUMEN Este artículo explora los efectos de la protesta social en la ideología de la élite política. La teoría de la contienda política identifica en el proceso de polarización la capacidad de dar a todos los temas políticos connotaciones ideológicas, lo cual se relaciona con la ideología de la élite política. En un primer apartado, se describen las directrices teóricas de la contienda y se comparan dos episodios: el Cacerolazo en Argentina y la Rebelión de los Forajidos en Ecuador. El segundo apartado explora cambios en la ideología de la élite parlamentaria, utilizando los indicadores de coherencia ideológica, polarización, fragmentación y número efectivo de partidos. El objetivo es identificar si, después de los episodios, se verificaron cambios en estos indicadores. El trabajo tiene un alcance exploratorio y se espera encontrar evidencia que revele variaciones en la ideología de la élite parlamentaria tras el desarrollo de los episodios de contienda transgresiva.
