Citation Benchmarking is provided by Scopus and SciVal and is different from the metrics context provided by PlumX Metrics.

Article Description
Resumen Los seris, grupo indígena pescador, cazador-recolector que habita en la costa central de Sonora, estuvo sujeto al programa de escuela rural implementado por el gobierno federal a partir de la década de 1920. Desde la perspectiva regional, en este trabajo se pretende explorar el alcance de la política cultural con el objetivo de mostrar los factores que determinaron su ejecución, bajo el argumento de que la educación rural, en atención a la población indígena, estuvo determinada por la negociación de agentes intermediarios, en este caso rancheros, maestros, comerciantes y asociaciones religiosas, quienes ajustaron los programas a las condiciones culturales de esta comunidad.
