Article Description
Abstract: A detailed study is performed of transitions of domain walls under the influence of an external magnetic field perpendicular to a film’s axis of easy magnetization. The transitions are those of single-vortex Bloch domain boundaries (DB) to intermediate two-dimensional Néel DBs upon an increase in the external field, and to a two-vortex structure when the external field is removed.
