Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Article Description
Given the ecosystem services they provide, fluvial environments feature prominently in environmental protection strategies, often leading to the implementation of specific management and restoration measures. Participation is playing an increasingly important role in the definition and implementation of these measures, to the point of being considered as a political norm. To ensure that participation really contributes to improving management and restoration actions, we propose a particular type of participation: counter-argumentative participation. This article presents the results of the application of counter-argumentative participation in the context of a partnership with the manager of the "Delta de la Sauer" National Nature Reserve. Based on this application, and a comparison with a previous participatory process in the same reserve, we present the lessons that can be drawn from it. These conclusions can be transferred to other contexts of management and restoration of river environments, and more generally to other protected natural areas.
