Article Description

First, the article reconstructs the relationship between the cosmological understanding of death as nothingness in Eugen Fink's thought and the world's announcement in its difference with respect to intramundane entities. It unfolds then the cosmological, existential and religious significance of death. In a cosmological order, it explicits how far can death point out the prevail of the world as the original fundation of the life's condition of gift, of its unique character and of the renewed versatility of life. In an existential order, it shows serenity as the own mood of the relationship with death. Finally, in a religious order, it elucidates the link between death and the divine.
