Metric Options: CountsSelecting the 1-year or 3-year option will change the metrics count to percentiles, illustrating how an article or review compares to other articles or reviews within the selected time period in the same journal. Selecting the 1-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year. Selecting the 3-year option compares the metrics against other articles/reviews that were also published in the same calendar year plus the two years prior.
Example: if you select the 1-year option for an article published in 2019 and a metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019. If you select the 3-year option for the same article published in 2019 and the metric category shows 90%, that means that the article or review is performing better than 90% of the other articles/reviews published in that journal in 2019, 2018 and 2017.

Thesis / Dissertation Description
The Clinical Care of the Pediatric Patient (CCPP) is a two-day course held monthly as part of the onboarding process. This mandatory course is intended to prepare onboarding clinical staff for the provision of evidence-based care to pediatric patients. CCPP contains over 17 hours of didactic and hands-on instruction in the assessment, management, and treatment of pediatric conditions. The goal of this quality improvement project was to determine the perceived effectiveness of the CCPP course and its impact on the confidence level of clinical staff as pediatric providers during their first few months of employment. A regression analysis was used for the collection of quantitative data. The sample included 82 onboarding clinical staff nurses, respiratory therapists, and EDTs. Participants completed a 13-question post-course survey online via QR code. Data was collected using Google Forms and uploaded to a spreadsheet for analysis. A major finding of this study is that course attendees experienced increased levels of confidence and will make changes in their practice based on knowledge gained in the course. Although further study is needed. Effective onboarding plays a critical role in professional confidence and the application of nursing practice. When clinical staff receive proper onboarding, they feel more confident and capable of providing evidence-based care to patients and families.
